So, I was playing a Roland TD4KP electronic drum kit. The kick drum was TERRIBLE, never triggering correctly - either not engaging when struck or stutter triggers with late or double clicks. Useless. I picked up this Yamaha brain for the kick, added a couple toms and cymbals and had a fairly usable electronic kit. Except the music I was playing just didn’t fly with using as a kit. I’ve since used this in “acoustic” gigs as kind of a techno-conga kit and added it as an auxiliary part onto my acoustic kit. Fully tested, Module has over 600 different drum and percussion sounds and there are plenty more inputs if you want to add a kick, more toms, and/or cymbals.
