This is a wonderful handmade church collection box from the 60's. It is in very, very good/excellent condition for the age of the piece.
The money goes in the slot on the roof and drops into the basket. The house is hinged onto the base and when you tilt the church up the money can be retrieved.
There is a lock on the church but no key. It opens and closes easily.
This is a very rare find, I couldn't find anything comparable when doing research. I can only assume that a parishioner made it for his or her church.
The base measures 21" x 14" x 1"
Church measures 19" front to back x 12" wide x 12.5" tall
Total height is 13.5"
I really hate to part with this but I moved and am still downsizing my collection.
Please look at the photos closely and carefully as I do not accept returns.
