Extremely scarce Texas Rangers (DPS) + Texas Military Dept challenge coin recognizing Operation Drawbridge and Operation Border Star. Issued within an inter‑agency border‑security effort, this coin rarely surfaces outside official circles—an outstanding piece for serious Texas law‑enforcement and border‑operations collectors.
Dual‑agency issue: Honors collaboration between the Texas Rangers / DPS and the Texas Military Department (TXMD) during joint border missions.
Iconic imagery: One side features the Texas Ranger five‑point star; the other shows a blue State of Texas with agency crests and “TXMD.” Rim text reads “Operations Border Star & Drawbridge – Protegiendo La Frontera.”
“Secret Squirrel” mascot: Coveted secret squirrel symbol associated with Drawbridge appears on the reverse—seldom seen on public‑market coins.
Premium build: Heavy, gold‑tone rope edge with crisp enamel and fine detail (see photos).
Full 2‑inch coin: Substantial 2" (50 mm) diameter for strong in‑hand presence.
Excellent—only removed from its factory plastic protector for these photos. The exact coin shown is the one you’ll receive. It will ship inside the same factory plastic protector, carefully packed for transit.
Operation Drawbridge: DPS’s covert, camera‑based border‑monitoring network supporting partner interdictions.
Operation Border Star: Long‑running, multi‑agency effort that coordinates federal, state, local, tribal and military partners along the Texas–Mexico border.
Collector note: This is a commemorative/recognition coin only—no law‑enforcement authority is implied.
Ships well‑protected (coin in its factory plastic protector, wrapped and boxed) with tracking. Combined shipping available.
