Holland Sub, KX111 makes port after long cruise. 
Leaving Helder, Holland on May 27, Netherlands Royal Navy Submarine is proceeding along and without convoy to Surabaya, the Dutch East Indies. During its long cruise to the Far East, the KX111 has been utilized for the advancement of science. 
Dr. Vening Dr. Vening Meinsz of the Dutch Geodetic Committee, who is making the trip, has been making daily pendulum tests beneath the waves to ascertain if there were any deficiency of gravity under the sea, according to a German theory. 
He will continue his tests daily on his way across the Pacific. The KX111 moored to a pier after a part of her 25,000 mile journey had ended.
