Synopsis
Set in a quiet New England town, The Incubus tells the chilling story of a grisly murder and assault that leaves a young man dead and his girlfriend critically injured. Sam Cordell (John Cassavetes), the local hospital’s head surgeon and medical examiner, suspects something supernatural behind the attacks. As more women fall victim, Sam teams up with police chief Hank Walden (John Ireland) and newspaper columnist Laura Kincaid (Kerrie Keane) to unravel the mystery — all while fearing that Sam’s own daughter Jenny might be next.
This 1981 Canadian supernatural slasher, directed by John Hough, is based on Ray Russell’s 1976 novel of the same name. Featuring a haunting atmosphere and a gripping storyline, it remains a cult classic in the horror thriller genre.
