This is a scarce, hard to find printing from the Poulton's Series. "Poulton's Series" is a collection of historic photographic views, many of Scotland and the English/Scottish border country, produced in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. These images were often published in the form of view albums or postcards.

Some or all of the photographs were taken by T. Polson Lugton (usually referred to as T P Lugton), a professional photographer from Edinburgh. The name "Poulton" for the series was created using letters from "Polson" and "Lugton".

The series primarily features topographical views of towns, cities, and landscapes. The images provide a historical perspective of the town, capturing its architecture, street scenes, and daily life in that era. 

The views are valued for their historical and nostalgic appeal, offering a glimpse into the past of Hawick and other depicted locations.

The book is in good condition. It is undated but presumably from the late 1800s to early 1900s.  There are no markings, tears or dog ears. 20 pages. There is some light staining/discoloration of some pages due to age but most are in great condition. The binding is fully intact. The cover as noticeable discoloration.
