This is from my own collection, and I got it on either eBay or etsy. It is the only huck towel Scottie I have seen and the only one I own obviously. If you know what a HUCK towel is, you are showing your age or else you knew an older relative who made them. You use a certain type of fabric called huck cloth and it is woven a certain way with kind of a very small chicken wire effect pattern. It really takes a magnifying glass to see the pattern. I do not know a better way to describe the pattern. Then you have to carefully thread though the design catching some places and leaving the others without thread. This creates the pattern. It was an early version (sort of) for counted cross stich with no pattern to go by other than the fabric itself. This one is done very nicely with the black Scotties sitting up begging and then the doted and dashed background. The towel color is a pale blue grey and the top and bottom forms a border design that is aqua There are 5 full Scotties when the towel is unfolded, and unfolded it measures 19 1/2 x 13 1/2. .The 4th photo actually shows the reverse side of this completed piece which shows nothing !. The fact only the color of the fabric is showing proves how well done this piece is as thread totally caried the design on the top surface of the fabric. No, I have never done this but was always been intrigued when I saw a piece. Thanks for looking and no charge for the sewing lesson either. I am still busy going through towels and chenille small crib bedspreads, hankies and aprons. You will probably see a lot of these things in the next few weeks. After that , I  tackle more rugs and few quilts. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or requests..
