22 CARAT HAND GILDED SMALL CHERUB BUST BEAUTIFUL UNIQUE.
Hand water gilded using 22 carat yellow gold leaf around 20 years ago, always stored away in cushioned box and needs to be admired and loved.
Burnished 22 carat gold with bole red Italian curls showing the clay hole underneath.
Approx 190mm long plinth , 210 mm approx length with wings, approx 80mm wide and 120mm high.
Navy velvet base.
Lightly lacquered to protect , no liquids should be used to clean only a soft cotton cloth.
This was a resin plaster produced base I believe
the only one to be gilded using 22 carat gold .
Only selling as I have had nearly 20 years ago but it has been carefully stored away and now it’s time for it to be admired and enjoyed. Worth a lot more in gold leaf alone .
