Disconnect the power before installing this Washer Door Lock Switch ap4998848 6601ER1004C and wear work gloves to protect your hands. The tools you need to use is a Phillips screwdriver. You can enter from the Top of the machine(easier than accessing thru door and removing tub seal), removing 2 back screws holding the lid in place, then removing the 2 front screws holding the DSLA in place. Remove the screws on the latch itself then you can reach inside the front from the top and unplug it. Remove old assembly, put new one in. After installation, ensure that the device on the latch is securely connected
