DESCRIPTION


Features:

* The core circuit consists of L1, L2, C2, C3, R1, and W, forming a high-frequency oscillation circuit. Adjusting potentiometer W adjusts the oscillation stage gain, bringing the oscillator to the critical oscillation state just before it starts oscillating

* Q2 and for Q3 form a detection circuit. During normal oscillation, an AC voltage exceeding 0.6V will cause Q2 to conduct during its negative half-cycle, short-circuiting for C4, and thus turning off for Q3. When the detection coil L1 is near metal, the eddy currents generated by the metal will weaken or stop the oscillation. After Q2 turns off, for C4 charges, for Q3 conducts, triggering the buzzer to sound.

* The presence or absence of the buzzer sound directly indicates the presence of a metal object below the detection coil, achieving a metal detection function.

* This circuit can be modified into a proximity switch, suitable for scenarios such as elevator floor control, avoiding the drawbacks of photoelectric switches being affected by environmental and mechanical limit switches having limited lifespan.

*It has wide practical applications, including road vehicle detection (burying a 1-meter diameter coil can stably detect vehicles with a height of more than 0.5 meters), highway traffic flow statistics, parking lot no-parking zone statistics, etc., and has high practical value among various devices.
