Italian-born Girolamo Nerli (1860-1926) is an elusive figure who flits in and out of the history of nineteenth century art in Australia and New Zealand where he exercised considerable influence. This book accompanied an exhibition of his art held in Dunedin, New Zealand in 1988. It features not only his work but also biographical notes and a detailed preiminary "Catalogue Raisonee".
