1880 blown, strap sided medicine bottle: "The Only Remedy Used & Recommended By / THE REV. HENRY WARD BEECHER" a circular Trade Mark with the Entwined Victorian Letters that are embossed on the other side and at the base of the circle "1880". Next: "M M / TOWNSEND'S / REMEDY FOR / HAY FEVER, ASTHMA / AND AUTUMNAL CATARRH". This label has the most writing of any bottle I've ever seen - both on the bottle as well as the label label has some holes.- "Prepared Only By / DR. M.M. TOWNSEND / FROSTBURG, MARYLAND / Price-Pints, $1.50, 4 oz. Bottles, 50 c.". Next the embossed side: "On shoulder is the embossed version of the circular 1880 Trade Mark on the label. The large "C" has "CATARRAH" embossed with the entwined lettering in the center. Under the circle: "A SPECIFIC / -FOR- / HAY FEVER / ASTHMA / - AND - / Autumnal Catarrh / Prepared Only By / Dr. M.M. TOWNSEND / FROSTBURG, MD." All this strongly embossed. 7 1/2" tall x 3" wide.
