Edwin D. Walter is well known for large fused, hot glass window panels, and glass mosaic pictures/scenes. His work has been on exhibit in numerous museums and galleries, and several of his pieces are housed at the Columbia Art League.


Edwin D. Walter Master Glass Maker &  WWII Air Force Pilot passed away on Feb. 5, 2001 at his home in Troy, Alabama. He grew up in Columbia, SC and taught art at Hickman High School; MU; and several others before settling in at Troy State for 39 years. His work is Not "FUSION" but is considered kiln-fired,  "kiln-formed", or "slumped" with being created in a pottery kiln.
