Brentford FC - Fan Photo - c.1935.
Just the thing for any serious fans of "The Bees" who have an interest in the team's performance and players in the decade prior to the outbreak of WW2.
This photograph, featuring John "Jack" Holliday, was taken around 1935, when he'd played a leading part in Brentford's success in League Division Two, which led to the club winning promotion to the First Division. A couple of Jack Holliday's impressive goal scoring records still stand.
Fan photos, such as this one, were taken and issued by Topical Times.
Dimensions - 250mm x 95mm
Condition - As per the image. Good. The photo has a small amount of handling marks but has no serious damage, such as creasing, or large tears. There is a stain in the SW corner. As far as I can tell, this photograph has been where I found it (in a box, within one of my uncle's trunks, up in the attic) since WW2. Ideal storage conditions really, hence no fading, foxing, dust marks, or exposure to damp.
Shipping - UK: The photograph will be stiffened and wrapped, in such a way as to minimise damage in the post. It's just too long to be a "normal" letter, so will have be sent as a large letter, hence the postage at the recently-hiked Royal Mail rate.
Non-UK: Please wait until I get an Air Mail quote to wherever it is you'd like the photos posted to. The price quoted is for Germany at the (recently hiked by Royal Mail) international rate.
Collection - No Problem. Contact me to arrange. Cash on collection please.
Happy Bidding!
