A blinging pair of gilded pair of wood candle holders. At least we believe these were intended to be candle holders. The holes on the bottom lead us to think they were turned, then hand carved. Whatever their initial purpose we now purpose them to be a lovely addition to any corner of your decor. They are so shiningly lovely. We believe them to be early to mid 20th Century and from Italy. The quality of the gilt is very very good, layered on top of the base layer the burgundy color you see. 

So were these meant as candle holders? We're not 100% sure, but they can be now; unless you have other thoughts for them... A gorgeous pair for almost any decor.
