Ruthie Rabbit is one of the Posey Pets from Madame Alexander Dolls.  She is a rare find and is from about 1951, making her first appearance in an Easter Parade ad.  This Ruthie has had only one owner, and I'm pleased to be able to offer her to you.

Ruthie is a stuffed 19" rag doll bunny.  The ears are lined with pink satin and she has a white felt hat decorated with a little floral accent. The eyes are dramatically made up with curly lashes, though some have turned down, the nose is a red heart.  The fabric used for the body is green and white calico ditzy floral, the head and paws are all a silky faux fur.  For her clothing, cotton organza pieces are layered, with  a pale citrusy green, and a lavender, which has faded a bit with age.  The costume is very detailed with eyelet ruffles and juliet sleeves.  The original snaps are at the back; the elastic in the waist of the pantaloons is slack, and a corsage pin has held the pantaloons up for several years.  The felt hat has a couple of small holes.

She's been cleanly stored for many years, there aren't any funny odors or elements of rot.  The head is inclined to the right and the hat needs adjusting, but we will leave that to the buyer.  This doll could be enjoyed as found, she's also a great candidate for restoration.  Please allow up to 7 days for shipping.  Thank you for looking!
