Now into our seventh year of production, we've shifted the dates slightly so as to include the first four years of the 21st century. As previously, its all unused and unseen archive railway film, shot between 1981 and now extended to 2004; and all recorded with the original audio on tripod-mounted cameras.

Highlights of Volume 16 include:

Sheffield Area: Clay Cross Junction in 1982 with 56003 and loaded MGR wagons and various 45s working freight and passenger. 76034+76032 haul a rake of loaded MGRs towards Woodhead.

Bescot: Footage from the 1980s with 20s, 25s, 31s, 47s and 56s. A staggering eight Class 20s, all coupled, pass the shed!

Settle & Carlisle: Skipton in 1983 as 45115 arrives from Leeds. Carlisle in 1983 as 85013 departs for Glasgow with parcel vans and 27029 moves light-engine through the station.

Chester & Crewe: Footage spanning 1982 to 2003 with 31468 'Hydra' & 31602 'Chimera' and a rake of InterCity-liveried Mk II coaches, 37689 on the Chirk logs empties and 47529 with the Crewe Works test train stock.

North Wales: 47810 'Porterbrook', with a rake of Virgin Mk III coaches, 47187 with ethylene dibromide and chlorine tank-wagons, 37407 'Blackpool Tower' and 37429 'Eisteddfod Genedlaethol'.

Wilts & Hampshire: 1989 & 1990 at Westbury as 33208 arrives with a mixture of wagons and reverses into the siding. At Basingstoke, 33116 departs for London Waterloo operating a push-pull service and 50001 'Dreadnought' departs for Exeter.

A journey on board 'Daisy' Class 101 DMU Llandudno to Holyhead 6-8-97:
While on holiday at Llandudno the cameraman noticed 'Daisy' was allocated to a Holyhead service so he took a ride! Filmed from the front, and the back, this was an interesting snap shot as to the traffic and trains working the Coast at this time. At Conwy, a RES-liveried Class 47 is passed with loaded ballast wagons and 37422 'Robert F Fairlie' is seen in the permanent way siding at Penmaenmawr. The spectacular Britannia Bridge is next and the controls of the Class 101 are clearly seen in operation. As we approach Valley, another Class 37 is on the triangle with two flasks and the infrastructure at Holyhead can be seen with the original water storage tank and the diesel loco fuelling point.

So much more than just trains passing the camera!
