One (1) vintage brass belt buckle featuring an artistic 3D rendering of the unisex name, Terry, in the shape of a globe, manufactured in the 1970s. Item measures 2 1/2 inches by 2 1/4 inches. This rare piece is Very Good or better condition, with visible signs of light wear, well preserved for its age. Belt connectors on reverse are near-pristine; item is fully wearable on a belt. On the front is an oblong image of the common name, with titles in stylized lettering, all on a brassy metal surface. Why this buckle is shaped like a globe is anybody's guess. How many Terrys out there are cartographers, or geography majors, one has to wonder. Perhaps it's "TERR", meant as an abbreviation of "terrestrial", and that's where the human name actually derives (?). That would fit, one supposes. Either way, a great gift for any world traveler, especially if their name is Terrence, Teresa or similar!! (By the way, the "base" of the "globe" forms the letter, 'Y', evidently! Just so you know...) Pretty odd...Wait, maybe it's "Jerry"!....??

See accompanying photos for detail. This hard-to-find belt buckle would make a great gift for the buckle collector on your special list or a fine way to complete your own collection of quality display pieces.
