Offering an antique Haviland, Limoges, France, butter dome with strainer and twig handle on Ranson Blank, Scheiger 423 gold trim, with Feu de Four pink aster flowers. Excellent condition, no chips, cracks or repairs. There is one anomaly on the interior rim. I first thought it might be a small hairline although it appears on only the inside. Signed on the base with Haviland's H&Co/L mark used 1888-1896. Also marked "Feu de Four". Please see photographs as they are part of the description.

"Haviland Feu de Four refers to a special firing technique used by the French porcelain manufacturer Haviland & Co. Limoges in the late 19th century. The term, which translates to "fire of the oven," denotes a four-step production process for decorating porcelain. This was an innovative and costly method at the time that resulted in a distinctive, wispy, and sometimes slightly muted appearance for the decorative transfer designs."
