Vintage Jeff Doring Print Kunia Dreaming 1984 Indigenous Outback Art Uluṟu Olgas
This framed Jeff Doring print 'The Kunia Dreaming' was part of a limited edition released of 300 prints that commemorated the opening of the Sheraton Ayers Rock Hotel in October 1984. It tells the story of the gentle Wou-Python or carpet snake people and their confrontations with the troublesome Liru or poisonous snakes from Katatjunta (the Olgas).
The print is housed within its original open faced timber frame which has a cream border. It is an oil print on canvas board. The frame has a white backing board with a white string for hanging. The print and its frame remain in very good used condition. The print has bright colours and visually looks great. The frame is structurally sound and in fine shape. The backing board and tape have some minor wear, as photographed. Externally the frame measures 60cm wide by 42cm high and is 2.5cm thick. It weighs just over 750g.
