This listing is the result of the numerous demands I received from eBay customers, which after the initial purchase of a restored pocket watch from me asked for additional work on other timepieces they owned.
To save time and postage please send me a few good quality images of your timepiece and I will give you a pre-quote for free. To post me your timepiece for a FREE physical inspection you will need to pay the £10 listing price, so that I can share with you my address following eBay rules. The evaluation is free and £10 (UK)/£25 (International) is the cost for shipping it back to you if you don't want to carry on with the repair or after the work is completed in 3-6 weeks.

In the past +25 years I have specialised working on very difficult repairs of old and complicated ENGLISH, AMERICAN and SWISS timepieces: FUSEE, VERGE, CYLINDER, DUPLEX, DETENT CHRONOMETERS, CHRONOGRAPHS, RATTRAPANTE, QUARTER AND MINUTE REPEATERS, SIMPLE or PERPETUAL CALENDARS, ANKER pocket watches, MILITARY, you name it... I make or adjust hairsprings, poise balance wheels, replace broken jewels, make or repair balance staffs, make or replace verge staffs, cylinder staffs, make special screws on the lathe, cut and refinish wheels teeth, burnish pivots, repair fusee chains, etc. I also can do case works: make or repair silver hinges, neck push buttons, outer case verge buttons, case springs, remove deep dents or scratches, etc.
For a +200 years old movement, when it comes to timekeeping, what matters is the skill of the watchmaker to restore and adjust it to a correct working condition.
On a VERGE I aim for a precision of under 5min/day, on an ANKER less than 20 seconds/day and on a CHRONOMETER less than 2 seconds/day after a FULL SERVICE.
