No remote. There are scuffs, scratches, and abrasions. CD player works. Tape player miraculously still works. It's a pretty loud little system.  It has a RCA Stereo Audio In.

Affordable enough to justify a second-room purchase for even the smallest of rooms--and attractive enough to grace an office-- the Zenith LX-140 executive microsystem lets you listen to your favorite audio CDs, radio stations, and cassette tapes in comfort, including your homemade MP3 CDs, which can hold up to 10 hours of music per disc. The system's FM/mw (medium-wave) radio offers mw tuning for 10 kHz (530 to 1,610 kHz) and 9 kHz (522 to 1,611 kHz) and provides 30 station presets for simple, one-button tuning for your favorite stations.

The LX-140's single-well cassette deck offers CD synchro recording, automatic tape shut-off, and automatic level control for making distortion-free copies from CD and radio. An auxiliary input fosters hookups with ancillary gear like an MP3 player or a DVD player, and a trio of preset equalization curves (rock, pop, and classic) let you tailor the system's sound to your preference.

The amplifier drives the system's 2 one-way, wood-finished speakers with 5 watts per channel. You have the option listen in private through the system's headphone jack and to make recordings using a minijack microphone input (headphones and microphone not included). Other features include CD repeat and program play, an easy-to-read LCD with display dimming, and a sleep timer.
