Up for sale is Sub-Mariner #45 (January 1972, Marvel Comics) — a key Bronze Age issue featuring Tiger Shark vs. Namor and a guest appearance by the Human Torch. This is the 6p UK Pence Variant, printed simultaneously with the U.S. cents edition and increasingly sought after by collectors. This copy has exceptional color, gloss, and structure with sharp corners and no spine ticks. The only notable flaw is a row of visible bindery punch holes along the bottom edge (front and back) — a manufacturing defect — plus one small color break and light edge rub near the lower border. The staples are clean, pages are off-white to white, and the interior is crisp. Estimated grade: VF+ (8.5). A beautiful, high-grade example of a key Sub-Mariner issue. Keep in mind that I’m not a professional grader and this is only my opinion so examine the photos and you’ll have to make a decision for yourself. Ask any further questions before purchase. Thank you.
