Product Description

The Wiseco KE325M84 is a Professional Series forged piston set engineered for the BMW M54B30 3.0L inline-six engine, covering the E46 330i/330Ci/330xi, E39 530i, E60 530i, E83 X3 3.0i, E53 X5 3.0i, E36/7 Z3 3.0i, and E85 Z4 3.0i. At 84.00mm bore and 9.0:1 compression ratio with a –7.30cc dish, this set delivers a slightly lower compression ratio than the OEM 10.5:1 spec -- making it well-suited for forced induction, turbo, and supercharger builds where detonation resistance is critical. The Professional Series is Wiseco's no-compromise race-level piston line, designed and built in the USA for heavy to severe duty applications. Each piston is forged from 2618 aluminum, which offers superior tensile strength and ductility under extreme cylinder pressures compared to the 4032 alloy used in street-grade pistons. Wiseco's ArmorGlide dry-film skirt coating is permanently applied to every piston, reducing friction, preventing seizure during cold starts and break-in, and operating quietly throughout the service life of the engine. The anti-detonation groove adds a supplementary ring seal above the top ring to reduce the risk of ring land failure under high boost, while forced pin oiling ensures consistent wrist pin lubrication at elevated RPM. The M54B30 uses a stock 84mm bore, so no overboring is required -- though boring and honing for correct piston-to-wall clearance is always recommended. Stock stroke and rod dimensions are retained. Premium ring sets at 1.0 / 1.2 / 3.0mm widths, 5115 steel wrist pins, and pin locks are all included in the kit.
