The R50T2 Brake shoe has a ball joint mounting system to allow precise alignment with the wheel rim. This allows the brake shoe to fit nearly any vintage center or side pull brake system, or any other brakes with the standard flat brake shoe interface.
I think these have advantages over the Ultegra BR-6403 shoes. While the Ultegra are more "popular", the ball mount adjustment on the BR-4600 allow a better fit on more rims and brake calipers. Both have comparable, excellent braking performance.
These are being sold for the "Wheel Deals Bicycle Shop" in Vancouver WA, which is part of "Open House Ministries", who work with homeless people in our community. I am a volunteer in the bike shop. These are excess donated inventory. We typically fix and sell low end bicycles, and have minimal use for high end brake shoes.
