Here is a very scarce 1901 convention badge from the Methodist Epworth League in California. On back it reads that the cross portion is made of California Orange wood. The top " California " pin portion is marked behind it " 1901 " also. Bottom of wooden cross is marked" July 18-21, 1901 ". Center of cross is marked, " 5th International Convention/ Epworth League ". This was formed by Methodist Church members. The wooden cross is 2 inches in outside diameter. The whole badge with ribbon is about 4 1/4 inches long.
