An avid, amateur historian, I have traveled extensively across many states visiting, studying, and photographing historic sites.

This particular image is one view of Fort Stevens, located at North Chesterfield, Virginia.

A Confederate fortification, it was built in 1862 and witnessed combat action in 1864.
