The image shows a mid 1,700’s Treaty of Easton, or Quaker Indian Peace Medal.
The medal was commissioned by the Society of Friends, (Quakers), in Philadelphia.
It was made to commemorate the Treaty of Easton.
The obverse side of the medal features a portrait of King George.
The reverse side depicts a colonist, (likely a Quaker), and a Native American sharing a peace pipe.
The medals were given to influential Native Americans as a symbol of friendship and alliance.
