This original Maydwell-9 mini-insulator ("Pony", about 3.5 inches tall). This is printed "Maydwell - 9" and "USA" on the side, indicating manufacturing date between 1939 and 1940. This is clear in color.
In 1935, Crystallite Products Co. takes over production from McLaughlin and marks their insulators Maydwell. They made nine different styles of insulators until about 1940. These were used in Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington.
This is in excellent condition. There is one tiny chip on the base, on one of the drip points (see photo #5s, its below the "D" of Maydwell, hard to see). Otherwise, no other chips, cracks or damage. Really nice shape.
