This set of 7 vintage Craftsman wood lathe turning chisels from the 1940's, maybe. Thats what my research shows.
I would imagine whoever buys these is gonna use them, the only reason why the year would matter is quality in workmanship and the quality of steel. Handles are nice and tight.
I cleaned 2 of them in about 15 minutes on my buffing wheel. They didn't come out perfect but they look a lot better. I would think that this level can be achieved by anyone if they wanted to.
Seeing as how this isn't the set your gonna buy to display, it seemed like a wast of time. They are perfectly functional the way they are.
Very lightly used, if at all. Aside from surface rust, the tools are in really great condition. It doesn't appear that they have been worked or sharpened. There are some markings on the tips of several that may look like an attept but I dont think so. Please see photos, nothing is hidden.
