Here's an early New French Battery made by Thomas Hall in Boston ca. 1860-70. 

Condition is very good throughout, and the apparatus includes its original glass cell and its original solution jar, the latter of which is typically missing from this set. Clean fittings, undamaged spring connectors, undamaged panel, intensity rod is intact and still slides easily in and out of the cabinet's induction coil. 

Coil reads 35 ohms on a multimeter.

Original cabinet finish, original hardware. Original lock, but no key.
