Oil bonded sand is a perfect alternative for the more expensive 'Delft' clay. Delft is typically used in small scale sand casting for jewellers and backyard hobbyist metal casters. This item is sold in 1KG bags.

This sand captures great detail and is absolutely usable with 'Delft' casting rings. It also works perfectly with any other more traditional cope and drag sand casting systems.

We have tested this sand with pewter, aluminium, copper, bronze, tin, and lead. There is no reason why it shouldn't work with gold and silver too - but at the current price of Gold, I won't be buying any to test it out - sorry!
