Offered here is an antique cast iron “No. 2 Biscuit Oven” base (no lid), dating to the late 19th century (c. 1875–1900).


Embossing: Clearly marked No. 2 BISCUIT OVEN on bottom, after extensive research I can still not find the manufacturer. 


Construction: 3 integral legs, heavy gate mark across base


Bail: Original forged wire bail with shaped ears


Size: 12" diameter, 5" tall body, 3" cooking depth, 13" tall with bail raised


Condition: Rusted but solid — no cracks, no repairs. Inside shows surface oxidation from age and use. Ready for cleaning and seasoning.


Notes: This is the base only (no lid). Collectors often pair with fitted lids — seat ID approx. 12".
