Vintage Max Mannix Print w Pattern Framed Australia Art Gift
This vintage print is by Australian artist Max Mannix who paints stories based on his childhood in country Victoria and working on cattle stations in the Queensland outback. The print depicts his keen insight and humour with a used car salesman in the outback attempting to convince a man and woman to buy a used car. The couple stand by with their dog whilst the car salesman states 'Its a beauty - The best buy in the yard'.
This framed artwork remains in very good used condition. It has bright and vibrant colours and remains in fine shape. It is an oil giclée print on canvas board that is surrounded by a cream border with dual gold stripes. The print is housed within a stained wooden frame that has a glass cover which cleans up well. It has a white backing board with brown tape and there is a white string for hanging. The piece has a few light marks front and back and some light scrapes on its edges, as photographed. Externally the frame measures 53cm wide by 45cm high and is 2.5cm thick. It weighs just under 1.5kg.
