This is an antique brass photographic lens with rotating aperture disc. The maker is unknown, but the reverse of the aperture plate is stamped “No. 8”, suggesting it was originally part of a set.

The front element shows edge balsam separation (see photos). This should not affect results when the lens is used at smaller apertures.
