Constructed with individual stripes sewn together with cotton trim with rope and wooden dowel used to mount the flag. Each bar/stripe has been stitched individually together. The fabric is fine wool or a fine linen/cotton fabric.

This flag dates back to WW2 period. My grandfather brought back a collection of Allied flags after serving as a soldier in WW2. They have been stored away carefully since then. Condition is very good for its age. It has a small hole (approx. 6cm) near edge as well as a some discolouration at the pole side edge (see photos). Otherwise in excellent condition with no real visible stains or signs of ageing.
