Add a touch of mid-century pin-up charm to your collection with this lot of three vintage advertising blotter cards, all featuring artwork by the renowned pin-up artist Earl Moran. Produced by Brown & Bigelow, St. Paul, Minn., two of these blotters served as promotional items for Jamaica Sash & Door Co. of New Hyde Park, NY, in the 1940s. The other is from "Re-New Construction Co, Inc" of Virginia.
Each blotter is printed on sturdy card stock with a blue reverse side and measures 3 5/16" x 6 1/8". They showcase three different pin-up illustrations by Earl Moran and remain in very good vintage condition, exhibiting only minor wear consistent with age.
Chuck Olson spent over 40 years traveling across the United States, collecting vintage prints with a special focus on calendar art from the "Age of the Calendar" (1900–1960). Over time, he built an extensive archive of more than 10,000 framed and unframed pieces.
