Model aircraft Antonov AN-225 Mriya with Buran , USSR RARE OLD

We present to your attention one of the rare and first aircraft models.  A distinctive feature is the inscription “Mriya” on the left of the cockpit.

An-225 Mriya (NATO code name Cossack) is a super-heavy transport aircraft created in 1988 in the USSR by the Kyiv Antonov Design Bureau.  By 2022, the An-225 was the largest and most powerful aircraft in the world.  The chief designer is Viktor Tolmachov.  The aircraft was created for the needs of the Soviet space program: to transport cargo, the Buran spacecraft and components of the Energia missile system.

In the late 1990s, it was reconstructed and modified for the transportation of heavy goods.  Performed commercial transportation.  An-225 with a maximum take-off weight of 640 tons was the heaviest aircraft in the world.
