For sale is the book The Little Colonel's Knight Comes Riding, #9 in the Little Colonel series by Annie Fellows Johnston illustrated by Ethelred B. Barry published by L. C. Page & Company in 1907, listing to itself in the title list indicating a First Edition.

The LITTLE COLONEL Series consisted of 15 titles and a paper doll book, all published by L.C. Page Company between 1896 and 1914. In 1935, Shirley Temple starred in the film version of the first novel, The Little Colonel.  During the early part of the 20th century the Little Colonel series was the most popular series for children. 

Annie Fellows Johnston (1863-1931) was an American author of children's fiction who wrote the popular "Little Colonel" series, which was the basis for the 1935 Shirley Temple film The Little Colonel. She was born and grew up in McCutchanville, Indiana, a small unincorporated town near Evansville, Indiana.
