A beautiful vintage art deco glass vase by Imperial from their ‘Nuart’ line, circa 1920. This vase a bulbous body with flush opening, and a blue-green iridescent, craquelure finish. It has an embossed mark to the bottom rim, ‘NUART’.
In 1922, Imperial Glass introduced Nucut and Nuart lines, cut glassware that imitated Tiffany glass.
Beautiful Iridescence with Alligator/ Crackle Finish. Signed Nuart. Measures 6 -1/2 Tall with 3" Base.
Besides Free Hand and Lead Lustre, the only other true "art glass" made by Imperial was its NUART line. This line was introduced in 1912 and continued to be made into the mid-1920's or later. This is a fine example of that line. The glass is blue-green and beautifully iridized. The vase is marked “NUART” at the bottom edge, as shown.
The vase is in EXCELLENT condition, near mint. There are no chips, cracks or defects. See scans.
