For your kind consideration is this copy of Detective Comics #401 from 1970. This issue features a classic cover by Neal Adams and a well-written story by Frank Robbins that features only the second team-up of Robin and Batgirl. The Batman story, "Target for Tonight," features the Robbins story and pencils by Bob Brown. The Batgirl and Robin story, "Midnight is the Dying Hour," features, a Denny O'Neil story and Gil Kane pencils.

In the title, I refer to the condition of this book as "7.5ish." Translation: were you to send this book in to be professionally graded and slabbed, I estimate it would come back somewhere between a 7.0 FN/VF (fine/very fine) and an 8.0/VF (very fine). Please understand, I am NOT a professional grader. This is only MY best guess, based on hundreds of submissions to CGC, of the grade of this book, nothing more. I share this grade estimate to give you a better understanding as to the condition of the book and because I'm just that nice.

As evidenced by the pics I have provided, here are the noticeable flaws with this book: a few spine stress lines on each cover (pics 1-6 & 11) and some slight edge wear along the right edge of the front cover (pics 1, 5 & 6). The book is complete and the staples are tight at the cover (pics 7-9) and centerfold (pic 12). Please view all 12 pics I have provided to help you determine YOUR grade estimate for this book, thanks.

Look, I love to haggle over collectibles. I'm just weird like that. However, since no one and I mean no one is making offers on my other books, I decided to list this book, at a very fair price, as a simple buy it now without taking any offers...oh, the humanity.

For those of you who care about such things, here's how this particular book came into my possession and its history since then. I purchased it from a seller on Whatnot on May 20, 2023 I then cleaned and pressed the book myself. The book has been in my possession since its purchase date.

FYI, I include a free, raw mystery book with every purchase, usually from the same title...just a little incentive for you, that's all.

Your newly acquired copy of Detective Comics #401 will be shipped to you, via USPS ground advantage mail, no later than the day after receiving payment (unless, of course, that day is a Sunday), bagged, boarded front and back, swaddled in a feathery bed of bubble wrap and secured within a Gemini comic book mailer.

Please check out my other listings. I add new books all the time.

Finally, thanks for your time and consideration, both are greatly appreciated.
