Vintage Soviet made Breast Drill by The Horlivka Machine-Building Plant, also known as Mashzavod, is an industrial facility in Horlivka, Donetsk region, Ukraine. It was a major manufacturer of mining equipment for the former USSR. In recent times, the plant has been used by Russian forces as a base for storing and repairing military equipment, and for storing ammunition. Ukrainian forces have reportedly struck the plant, targeting military equipment and ammunition depots. 

This piece is a fantastic example of robust, simple, and effective engineering from the USSR.

The tool features a durable cast metal body with wooden handles and a crank for manual operation. The chuck is in working order and can hold various drill bits. It shows signs of age and use, including scratches and some surface wear, which adds to its authentic vintage character. The markings visible on the body include "K22" and "Ц. 10р.", which are typical Soviet-era factory and pricing stamps.
