This is a large vintage pendant, that is what I believe to be Native American. It has a black onyx stone, and applied carved mother of pearl owl, sitting on an abalone branch with crushed turquoise at the bottom. The base around the mother of pearly appears to be sterling silver. It measures It is 2 1/4" wide, and 2 3/4" tall without the chain. It is marked JC on the back, and appears similar to the works of Native American Jewelry Makers John Cly, Jim Caladitto, or Jim Claw, who are all well known Native American Jewelers. The silver mounting is tarnished but will polish up nicely.
