Up for your consideration is a replica PRE-WAR / INTERWAR BANDOLEER REPACK KIT FOR THE M1903 SPRINGFIELD, consisting of six cardboard pocket boxes to hold 12 5-round stripper clips, 2 different ammunition lot reference cards, an unmarked M1906-style 6-pocket bandoleer in khaki (#1) and black safety pin. 

The primary small arms rifle ammunition used by the U.S. during the interwar period was the .30-caliber round produced for the M1903 Springfield, packed in 5 round clips in the M1906-style bandoleer. It was made of khaki cotton cloth (khaki #1), had 6 pockets, and a shoulder strap of webbing with a safety pin to help adjust its length. A protective cardboard box in each bandoleer pocket covered the bullet tips to prevent tearing of the bandoleer fabric, and a cardboard card containing the type of ammunition, lot number, and manufacturer, was placed in one of the pockets to meet Ordnance regulations. The pocket box-style of cardboard sleeve was replaced by a simpler design without dividers by the start of WWII.

No stripper clips or .30 caliber rounds are included.
