Here is a Lionel 6-9725 O Gauge MKT Katy Split 4-Door Cattle Car in excellent condition. This cattle car features 4 sliding doors, plastic trucks, operating knuckle couplers, metal door frames, metal wheels and axles, and it measures approximately 10 1/2” long. This item looks like a C-7 at the very minimum: Excellent based on visual appearance. There are a few very tiny feint dark spots on the underside. There is a little browning on some of the wheels. It shows very little signs of wear. It uncouples on both ends. I believe this is a very unusual version because it has no number or name on the ends, and has a serial # of 6356-19 on the bottom (a number used previously by the New York Central Cattle Car in the mid 50s)!! The original red box with black and white lettering from the early 70s is included and is P7 at minimum.  Please check the photos for a detailed look at this item. Most photos have all been ILLUMINATED so you can see every detail. Overall condition is Excellent.

Please see the photos that will show what you get and are part of this description. These items have been stored in a climate-controlled, smoke-free, indoor environment.

“When it took over, MPC inherited Lionel's famous 6464 boxcar series. These cars, introduced in 1953, were a mainstay of the Postwar Era until the MPC takeover. In fact, several early 6464s were reissued in 1969. When MPC took over in 1970, they introduced their own version of the 6464s, the 9200 series. Fifteen different 9200s were produced from 1970 to 1972. In 1972, the 9200s were supplanted by a new series, the 9700s. The 9700s formed the backbone of Lionel's freight car line throughout the 1970s.”
