This is a lovely, Covered Oval Vegetable Tureen/Bowl/Dish by J G Meakin.  It is white with an embossed design and rare decorative gilt (often 22K-23K) pattern.  The tureen is large measuring 12 inches long with the handles, 7.5 inches wide and a little over 6 inches tall with the lid.  Stamped with J G Meakin Royal Arms with the lion rampant seal, production 1890+ (Potteries.org). 

This decorative tureen/bowl is in excellent antique condition. No crazing, a tiny chip in the lid by the handle that are hardly noticeable, some wear on the gold. A few spots inside that I cleaned with soap and water only.  Please see the photos as they show the condition and detail.  This will be a great addition to your table during for any celebration or holiday!
