ORIGINAL 1921 Playbill & Ticket Stub for DECLASSEE starring
Ethel Barrymore, Claude King, Charles Francis, and more notables

This performance took place at the Powers' Theatre in Chicago
INCLUDED is a clipping from a Northwestern University student's scrapbook who attended, along with her original ticket stub.  The notation, dated Nov. 12, 1921 states "I went with a bunch of the girls from the house (school dorm we surmise). Part of our Homecoming weekend party." As well as noting the title "Declassee" and "Ethel Barrymore", as well as "Powers Theatre, Chicago".

"Declassee", written by Zoe Akins was considered her first smash hit. From Wikipedia: "Déclassée...which starred Ethel Barrymore, was not only a great success but "something of a sensation".

Barrymore was famous for her stage, screen, radio, and TV work - it was also told she was proposed to by Winston Churchill, but declined.  She is part of the famous Barrymore acting family, including her brothers Lionel and John, and her great niece Drew Barrymore.
