Item description:

Up for sale is WATERMAN DIRECTOR GENERAL (DG) ballpoint pen, in sterling silver (all hallmarked) with black stripe. DG - Directeur General (French idiom for Chief Executive) was introduced in 1974, produced in the Waterman factory outside the city of Nantes in Western France. The pen is well preserved with classic design and high-quality craftsmanship. It can fit as a valuable addition and would grace any collection, and is a quality pen that will perfectly function, as a daily writer.

The clip is decorated with a black lacquer strip which is aligned with same stripe on silver barrel. Refill is dry and need to be replaced. It is continuous twist action – 1/4 turn to open, another to close. You can twist either direction, not just forth and back.

Waterman is a trusted brand in the pen industry, and known for its high-quality writing instruments, and this pen is no exception. The intricate design and attention to detail make it a must-have for any pen enthusiast.

This is really a rare pen because it's made of sterling silver. It’s the only one on eBay on the time of listing, and usually appears in its gold plate version, special item for collectors.

 

No major issues or imperfections being noted as dents/cracks /scratches/brassing/shading/discoloration/plating wear or engraving/ personalization /tarnish. Hairline slight scratches, minimal unnoticeable traces of age and wear. Very small ding on the barre, I have shown this issue in extreme close up but it is barely noticeable in the hand. See last image :)

The pen has all its original parts. It has the original imprint in very good readable condition. The barrel and cap markings are easy to read. They were not polished or cleaned to keep clear crisp imprint manufacturers original engravings.

Photos are part of the sale, and are exactly what will be delivered, nothing similar or anything else from the real item in photos. Please study them carefully as they form a significant part of the description.
