This sale includes 1 new offset flywheel timing key. The offset flywheel key fits the GX160, GX200, Predator 212cc, 224cc, Ducar 196cc, 212cc, 224cc and all similar Clone engines (5.5hp and 6.5hp). Included is detailed below and we've also added more details of the key for your convenience.:
- 1 - #6 Key (.060" offset)
- The key is 0.157" in width on the bottom and 0.157" in width on the top. The bottom width of the key is important to note, as it needs to fit the crankshaft keyway slot width. The top width of the key is important to note, as it needs to fit the width of the flywheel key slot. Please note: These keys may have a slight variance of .005". The measurement 0.157" in width is very accurate and was done with a digital caliper for accuracy and consistency.
Please Note: The flywheel nut must be torqued at 65 Foot Lbs. This will help to make sure the flywheel taper is locked with the crankshaft taper. Locking the two tapers together is very important, as it's basically what holds the flywheel to the crankshaft. The key is used for setting the timing. The use of an air wrench is not recommended, as it increases the chance of shearing the end of the crankshaft. Using a torque wrench is the best method for leverage on tightening the flywheel nut and verification that the flywheel nut is torqued to the correct 65 Foot Lbs.
