If source will be interlaced(i),then upscaler will pass signal without upscaling,but video enhancements-post processing will still work!,therefore upscaling possible only on progressive signals(p).
From my personal expierence: i tested and usedbefore many active cables and processors,and this was best second after Darbee DVP!For comparision Darbee costs about 200-300$ now...
Before my new 4k tv i was used High End class tv:Philips Aurea with built in 2 video processors and even then Txor cable gives significient boost in clarity and colour dynamics!
In comparision vs Marseile cinema UHD cable Txor gives better clarity/post processing,but Marseile gives little better black colour.
